Utilities & Energy Efficiency Progress Group

The goal of this group is to identify and develop incentives for natural refrigerant systems and equipment to offset first cost. Increase the level of awareness of natural refrigerants and the potential energy efficiency benefits among utilities.

  • Drive development of utility tools that can be used to estimate and validate energy savings of natural refrigerant system

    • Baseline and modeling custom tool

  • Drive development of utility measures and programs that recognize the benefits of natural refrigerant technologies and equipment

    • SMUD Natural Refrigerant Incentive Pilot

    • Refrigeration measure list (under development)

  • Develop educational materials and events to highlight the energy efficiency benefits of natural refrigerant systems and equipment

  • Support partners in achieving non-energy goals, such as carbon and greenhouse gas reduction, through the implementation of natural refrigerant projects
