R-TRADE Supporters
The R-TRADE Supporters program is designed for organizations that want to directly support and accelerate solutions to build a sustainable technician workforce. By becoming a Supporter, you are joining a coalition of other industry leaders that are collectively combatting the critical shortage of skilled refrigeration technicians. The R-TRADE Supporters program is entirely separate from NASRC membership. By becoming an R-TRADE Supporter, an organization does not become an NASRC member (though we welcome you to join!).

R-TRADE is the nationwide program tackling the shortage of skilled refrigeration technicians by growing the recruitment pipeline, expanding access to training, and supporting retention through best practices and career development. By partnering with industry leaders and offering targeted workforce solutions, R-TRADE ensures grocery refrigeration technicians are equipped to meet today’s needs and drive the industry’s transition to sustainable, climate-friendly systems. This comprehensive approach not only addresses immediate workforce gaps but also builds a resilient foundation for the future of grocery refrigeration.

Train: Increase access to comprehensive training on refrigeration and advanced refrigeration technologies.
Retain: Increase the number of existing technicians who remain in the refrigeration trade.
