The California Air Resources Board (CARB) F-gas Reduction Incentive Program (FRIP) is a statewide program designed to promote the adoption of climate-friendly low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant technologies. By offering incentive funding, FRIP will support the industry’s transition from high-GWP hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants.

By offering incentive funding, FRIP will support the industry’s transition from high-GWP hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants.
NASRC was named third-party administrator of FRIP and will oversee the successful implementation of this program. The goals of this program align with one of NASRC’s vision to leverage funding support to accelerate the installation of ultra-low-GWP refrigeration technologies.

FRIP is funded partially through the State of California’s General Fund and partially through California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment—particularly in disadvantaged communities.
