Tuesday, January 9th, 2018
8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EDT
Arlington, VA (near Reagan Airport)

The North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council (NASRC) invites you to participate in a workshop to develop an action plan to increase the maximum propane charge size allowed in commercial self-contained refrigerated cases.

Workshop Goals

  • Agree on an NASRC action plan to overcome the codes and standards hurdles that are preventing the use of self-contained refrigeration equipment with larger propane charge sizes
  • Identify next steps for translating NFPA research results into equipment safety recommendations
  • Review examples of existing equipment design, safety, and servicing standards for higher propane charge sizes available in other countries
  • Discuss the desire among supermarket end-users to use self-contained supermarket systems and the corresponding need for equipment that fills that need
  • Examine codes, standards, and guidelines for large propane charge sizes in other industries

Who Should Attend?

  • Attendance is by invitation only as space is limited
  • Attendees will include supermarket end users, service contractors, equipment manufacturers, US EPA SNAP Team, NFPA, ASHRAE, UL, engineering consultants, environmental non-profits and NASRC staff
