NASRC Digital Marketing Intern

About the Position:
The North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council (NASRC) is looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Digital Marketing Intern. We are looking for candidates with an in-depth knowledge of social media, marketing strategies, and content creation. If you have strong communication skills, a passion for sustainability and the environment, and excellent self-management and organizational skills, we want to hear from you!
The Digital Marketing Intern will make recommendations to improve our digital strategy overall and contribute to the implementation of that plan. This position is fully-remote and offers the ability to work flexible hours. If applicable, NASRC will work with the selected intern’s school to meet course credit requirements.
About the NASRC:
The NASRC is a 501c3 environmental nonprofit working to advance the adoption of climate-friendly natural refrigerants in supermarkets. Commonly used HFC refrigerants are extremely potent greenhouse gases that have been identified as the fastest-growing source of greenhouse gas emissions globally. The NASRC is working to make that solution a reality through natural refrigerants. We are a growing organization who now works with over 22,000 supermarkets and other industry stakeholders across North America to advance one of the most impactful climate solutions globally. Digital Marketing Intern Learning Objectives:
Gain experience developing a comprehensive communications & marketing strategy for various nonprofit initiatives
Contribute to the development of communication & marketing strategies for the Naturally Cool Movement
Learn about the development, implementation, and evaluation of social media campaigns
Expand knowledge of promotional tactics for events and initiatives
Increase familiarity with website development, SEO optimization, and website analytics
Practice developing content for email campaigns, articles, and social media
Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
Trained in communications & marketing with a strong understanding of marketing strategy development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding accountability, organization, and self-management skills
Current or recent marketing & communications students preferred
Passion for the environment & sustainability
Work from any location and work flexible hours
Contribute to impactful, mission-based work
Gain experience developing and implementing real-world organizational marketing strategies
Receive regular feedback from NASRC staff to further strengthen your marketing skills
